Final exhibition by Julia Desiderato.
A sculptural play with opacity, transparency, muscles and fabric challenges the viewer to rethink their own viewing habits for a moment. Strands of muscle and lengths of fabric together, torn out of their actual context, form a new unit. The works refer to quotes from organic forms, light and shadow. These are condensed in such a way that seemingly tangible truths combine to form an indefinable shape. The sculptures attempt to overcome the impossible straddle between movement and standstill with the help of the viscosity of their individual parts and the associations of the viewer.
