Winners of the Kassel Art Prize 2025 have been announced

The Kassel Art Prize 2025, awarded by the Dr. Wolfgang Zippel Foundation, goes to Thea Josepha Konatsu (graduate, New Media, Kunsthochschule Kassel) and Elko Braas (artistic associate, New Media, Kunsthochschule Kassel) in the field of Intermedia Art. They each receive prize money of 6,000 euros. The prize was awarded by the city council of Kassel on the recommendation of the foundation board.

The artist couple Wirkus / Pries receive the Doris Krininger Prize, which is being awarded for the sixth time this year. The prize serves to promote Kassel artists aged 35 and over and is awarded irrespective of the genre.

Exhibition and award ceremony
The award ceremony and the presentation of the artistic works of the winner of the Kassel Art Prize of the Dr. Wolfgang Zippel Foundation and the winners of the Doris Krininger Prize will take place on June 25, 2025 at the Kasseler Kunstverein. The exhibition at the Kasseler Kunstverein is open on June 26 from 11 am to 8 pm and from June 27 to 30, 2025 from 11 am to 6 pm. Admission is free.
