Master's Students

The status of “Master's Student” is one of the most prestigious honors reserved for art schools, achieved by less than 2% of students. Students in the artistic programs of Visual Arts and Visual Communication at the Kunsthochschule Kassel who have achieved outstanding results over the course of at least eight semesters in their artistic studies can be nominated to become Master's Students. Professors who direct a specialized class at the Kunsthochschule Kassel can nominate students to be Master's Students. The status is limited to two semesters after the main study program. This nomination requires confirmation from the Kunsthochschule Council. At the Kunsthochschule Kassel the Master's Student year is not defined by a curriculum.

§22 of the Prüfungsordnung für den künstlerischen Studiengang Bildende Kunst und Visuelle Kommunikation an der Kunsthochschule Kassel governs the naming of Master's Students.
