Solo exhibition by Maerie C. Fricke at the Karlskirche Kassel.

In "dekonstrukt", Maerie C. Fricke deals with materiality and processes of transformation - always in tension with social structures and dynamics. The focus is on the fragile structure of social orders - fractures between East and West Germany, the rise of right-wing populism, collective and personal memory - all these themes are artistically penetrated and made spatially tangible.

The exhibition will be accompanied by performances and lectures that respond to the works in terms of content and location. This creates an open space for discourse that deliberately blurs the boundaries between art, emotion and social exchange and enables new forms of participation.

• Multi-channel video installation by Delphine Oellers (part of the exhibition)
• Sound performances with Allen Homburg, Samuel J. Grace and Ina Glöckner: 16.05. | 7 pm
• Panel discussion with David Zabel (Initiative Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland Bund e.V.) and Luisa Bäde (Netzwerk Nachwendekinder). Moderation: Franziska Weygandt: 21.05. | 6 pm
