Kasseler Museumsnacht

On September 6, 2025, the time has come again: Kasseler Museumsnacht will take place.

Around 50 museums, galleries and cultural institutions ranging from art and history, science and technology to literature and music will open their doors. The events are framed by music and culinary delights, atmospheric lighting and various programs.

The Kasseler Museumsnacht will be officially opened by Lord Mayor Dr. Sven Schoeller at a joint kick-off on 06.09.25 at 4.30 p.m. on the stage at Friedrichsplatz.

A sign language interpreter will be present to translate the speech. The opening will be accompanied by music by TheaStella from Kassel. Everyone is welcome!


GBB_edits #4: A RELIC IS A STICKY MATTER
GBB_edits #4: A RELIC IS A STICKY MATTER will also be open during the Kasseler Museumsnacht. In a group exhibition by the Graduate School for the Moving Image (GBB), six artists dedicate themselves to relics as threshold spaces between decay and emergence. With works by Anna Illin, Annkathrin Kluss, Max Hilsamer, Paula Berger, Sarah Veith and Zirui Chen.

Anna Ilin gives an introduction to her installation. Her work reflects on the question of how agricultural land becomes private property and how economic conditions repeatedly elude our perception.
