A look inside the body
The visual design of the print and online media for the Kunsthochschule Kassel's 2024 annual exhibition was conceived and implemented by graphic design students Michelle Haupt, Karin Grünwald and Shirin Krastel.
From July 18 to 21, the workshops, studios and studios of the study programs as well as the exhibition hall of the Kunsthochschule will open their doors. From painting, sculpture and performance to design drafts, film screenings and sound installations, students will be showing the results and processes of their artistic and creative work.
A look inside the body
The starting point for this year's annual exhibition is "Detox" - the motto of the Rundgang. The focus is on the human body rather than juice cures, retreats and digital detox. Graphic design students Michelle Haupt, Karin Grünwald and Shirin Krastel invite viewers to look inside the body, which has an effective self-cleansing system. At the same time, they encourage viewers to allow themselves to be drawn into the spell of physicality and sensuality.
The visual concept also reflects the interdisciplinarity practiced in teaching at the Kunsthochschule Kassel, which is read as an organism. These interdisciplinary links are metaphorically translated visually as a living, pulsating network: through biomorphic structures, organic forms and a delicate color scheme. A network that merges together through different forms of collaboration and creates new connections.
