The SummerHUB is a summer program in the exhibition hall of the Kunsthochschule Kassel, which serves to fill the long lecture-free period with creative and inspiring activities. Under the motto "Summer sunshine, I don't know", Samira Vogl and Charlotte Kreiß have planned a series of events around the theme of "Spaces in Transition" in August 2024.
The aim of this year's SummerHUB is to create a temporary space to tackle the problem of Kassel's dwindling cultural scene. The aim of the first event is to achieve a greater understanding and appreciation of the cultural scene in Kassel.

Screening & Snacks
Cultural spaces are establishing themselves in various forms, including in living spaces. How do neighborhood structures and community emerge through spatial connection? The film "81 - Five Years of Neighborhood" by Florian Bremer will be shown. The film portrays life and living in Niedervellmarer Straße 81, where the everyday lives of 30 students take place between nature, shared flats, cleaning schedules, gardens, parties and studying. In a subsidized terraced house on the outskirts of Kassel, semi-random living constellations determine the time spent studying.
Sat, 24.08.24, 12 - 4 pm
Clothes swap
Swap clothes instead of buying them. This is how it works: Bring a few clothes that you no longer want/need and swap them for something new that you like. We look forward to seeing everyone who comes along.
Thu, 28.08.24, from 6 pm
Finissage
What questions, wishes and suggestions have arisen during the Summerhub with regard to the use of the exhibition hall? A summary of the last few weeks with contributions from guests.
