76th Berlin International Film Festival

The Berlin International Film Festival is a major public cultural event and a unique place for exchange with a film-savvy audience. With around 20,000 trade visitors from more than 130 countries, including around 2,500 journalists, the festival is also one of the most important events in the international film industry. During the festival, both Official Awards and awards from independent juries are presented in the various sections.

The Official Program of the Berlinale consists of Competition, Berlinale Special, Perspectives, Panorama, Generation and Berlinale Shorts. All of these sections present current films and are under the overall curatorial responsibility of the Berlinale's director.

Submissions are possible for the following sections and program series: Competition, Perspectives, Panorama, Generation, Berlinale Shorts, Forum and Berlinale Classics. Before submitting a film, please note the general registration and participation guidelines as well as the respective regulations of the individual sections.

Only officially submitted films can be considered for selection.

Feature films: Submission of the films and receipt of the viewing medium by October 22, 2025.
short films: Submission of films and receipt of viewing media by November 05, 2025.
