Mario de Vega works in the fields of installation, performance, and spatial intervention, using vibrational phenomena as a medium to stimulate sensory perception. Images, audio recordings, videos, and material traces serve not merely as documentation, but as extensions of fleeting situations and site-specific events; they form an independent body of work that translates experiences into forms of representation.
In addition to his artistic work, he has been invited as a visiting professor, lecturer, and guest artist to lead seminars, give lectures, artist talks, and workshops at numerous institutions, including the City University of Hong Kong, the Berlin University of the Arts, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, the Darmstadt International Music Institute, the Technical University of Berlin, the École Nationale Supérieure, the Kyushu University, the ECAL, and CENTRO de Diseño, Cine y Televisión.
He lives and works in Germany, Mexico, and Poland.
