Minister of Higher Education Timon Gremmels visits the exhibition „Offener Prozess"
The new Hessian Minister of Higher Education, Research, Art and Culture, Timon Gremmels, visited the exhibition „Offener Prozess" on April 11, 2024 in the Ausstellungshalle at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. Juli Brunner and Ömer Yağmur, from the exhibition’s mediation team, led Minister Gremmels and the Rector of the Kunsthochschule, Prof. Martin Schmidl, through the exhibition.
The exhibition „Offener Prozess"shows the effects of racist acts of violence. Too often it is the stories of the perpetrators that take the focus of the narrative. „Offener Prozess",however, breaks with this tradition, instead attempting to give voice to those affected. This shifts the focus to the stories and struggles of migrants as well as to continuities of right-wing and racist violence, thus calling our attention to structural and institutional racism.
The exhibition „Offener Prozess" can be seen in the Ausstellungshalle at the Kunsthochschule through May 12, 2024.
