New publication: No Compromise? Wilhelm Wagenfeld and National Socialism
Wilhelm Wagenfeld was one of the most important designers of the 20th century. In the book "No Compromise?" Prof. Dr. Daniel Hornuff devotes himself to the role of the Bauhaus student during the Nazi era.
Hornuff is professor of theory and practice of design at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. In his latest publication, he examines the work of industrial designer Wilhelm Wagenfeld during the National Socialist era. The book is intended as a contribution to the reappraisal of Nazi history and to possible entanglements of German artists and cultural workers - and it asks what such an examination means for current contexts.
