As an accompanying program to the exhibition "Offener Prozess", the film SPUREN - Die Opfer des NSU by Aysun Bademsoy (2019, 81 minutes) will be shown in the series Ton-Bild-Zeit: Filmemacher:innen und ihr Werk in the Ausstellungshalle of the Kunsthochschule.
In her documentary, director Aysun Bademsoy, who is of Turkish origin, sets out in search of the traces of the far-right terrorist group "National Socialist Underground" (NSU) and asks herself which process could heal the injuries caused by the NSU. "Traces" is a multi-layered documentary that sheds light on the failure of investigators and the justice system - and finally gives the victims' relatives a voice.
Traces - these are not only the clues that criminals leave behind at the crime scene, but also the injuries and scars that their deeds cause to the relatives of the victims, in the migrant communities and in German society as a whole.
