"O" is a multi-sensory installation that explores perception by blocking out external visual and auditory stimuli. One person at a time has access to the completely dark room. Earplugs are used to block out further auditory stimuli from the surroundings. You determine the duration of your experience yourself.
"O" reflects the expansion and limits of technological processes in relation to our somatic perception. The experience of sensory spaces, such as complete darkness or silence, has become just as rare as physical and digital spaces without advertising and surveillance. "O" creates space for experiences of unobserved perception, for the potential of somatic knowledge and imagination.
