In 2023, the Franck-Haus in Marktheidenfeld will once again be a meeting place for art and culture. Twelve very different exhibitions can be seen in the rooms of the smalte blue building from January 28.
ENTRE-DEUX - Multimedia Joey Arand
In her work, artist Joey Arand circles around what constitutes identity. Be it the human body with the constraints that constrict it, the decay caused by aging or the reproduction influenced by social rules. At the same time, Joey Arand looks at one's origins and the environment in which one grows up or tries to fit in. In doing so, her works encompass various media: photographs, video works, and sculptures show an observational gaze that makes hidden structures more tangible and explores the in-between. Joey Arand studied Visual Communication at the Kunsthochschule Kassel, where she now teaches students.
