ARTIST TALK WITH VANESSA AMOAH OPOKU

The artist Vanessa Amoah Opoku is a guest in the class for Intermedia Photography and Time-based Media in the Artistic Field and talks about her practice, which moves between different media and technologies and includes curatorial and collective work.

Vanessa Amoah Opoku (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist with a focus on history, technology and marginalized narratives within mixed realities. In her artistic practice she mainly uses 3D scans, animation, sculpture, performance and sound.

Opoku is a member of the artist collective PARA. The collective works on interdisciplinary and site-specific installations and performative arts that explore themes such as chronopolitics, future heritage and speculative feelings.
