Alexandra Pirici: Studio visits at the Kunsthochschule

Alexandra Pirici offers studio visits for students of the Kunsthochschule Kassel.

On Thursday, 4/27-23, 8pm-2pm, performance artist Alexandra Pirici will talk about her work in the Rotunda of the Fridericianum. Alexandra Pirici, born in Bucharest in 1982, is a trained dancer and choreographer who became known primarily for her ongoing performative actions. In 2022, she showed the work Encyclopedia of Relations at the Venice Biennale, which is inspired by symbiotic or parasitic interactions in biology and botany, for example. It also negotiates abstract forms of relationships - such as between people and technology, rocks and waves, plants and animals, and more. It is the preliminary culmination of her artistic exploration of ecosocial transformations and their influence on relationships of bodies to one another.

As part of a cooperation between the Fridericianum and the Kunsthochschule Kassel, artists of the event series FF - Live im Fridericianum will offer studiovists for students of the KhK in the coming months. Alexandra Pirici will kick things off on April 27/28, 2023, giving KhK students the opportunity to reflect on their own art with Alexandra Pirici in individual timeslots.

Timeslots for the studio visits:

Thursday, 4/27: 3:00 - 3:45 p.m. 3:45 - 4:30 p.m. 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.
