Professor for Art and Knowledge | Adjunct Professor at the Kunsthochschule

Studies in Art Research, Media Theory, Philosophy and Aesthetics at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design and at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Doctorate from the Université de Fribourg (CH) with the thesis “Empfindsamkeitsarchitektur. Der Hameau de la Reine in Versailles,” supported by a grant from the Gerda Henkel Foundation. In 2012–2013 research associate at the Art History Seminar at the University of Hamburg (Chair in Modern and Contemporary Art). In 2013–2014 research assistant at the Art Historical Institute of the University of Zurich (Chair in Modern Period). Starting in 2016 assistant professor at the Chair for Recent Art History at the Art Historical Seminar of the University of Basel. Teaching positions include at HEAD Genève, Universidade de Lisboa, Universidade Federal de São Paulo, and the University of Toronto. Occasional work as a curator and art critic.

Since 2021 Professor for Art and Knowledge at the University of Kassel, with an adjunct position at the Kunsthochschule and the documenta Institut.
