Bostan, Ayzit

Professorship for Design of Textile Products

Ayzit Bostan (*1968) is a designer and artist. She has been Professor for Design of Textile Products at the Kunsthochschule Kassel since 2012.

After training as a tailor, she completed a degree in pattern making at the Meisterschule für Mode in Munich. Since 1995 she has run her own atelier in Munich.

Bostan has received numerous awards as an artist and designer. Her works move at the interface between design and art, and have been exhibited both nationally and internationally in renowned museums, art spaces, and in public space. These exhibition sites include the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, the park at the Palais Galliera in Paris, the Goethe Institut in Tokyo, and the Rathausgalerie in Munich. Her works have also been presented in galleries and museums in the form of installations, video works, or performances.

She received the Design Award of the City of Munich in 2023, and her works are represented in the collection at “Die Neue Sammlung.”
