Filling up the gaps. Stegsende und Gitterpoesie

In fear of the inability to grasp contexts, practice has become a shimmying along. This apparent jamming leads to an exploration of experience: modern cognitive science far from the computer as a model: how we actually experience and what this can mean, because we seem phenomenologically illiterate. But gaps and aberrations also arise during the shimmying. To depict these is beyond any frame and so presentations run on the red thread that every individual ‚psychobiography‘ just spans. In order to understand the development or the context of one's own work, what it really is that one does, it is sometimes possible to close those gaps in retrospect in order to take up the string again in the next conversation and follow the experience. The context lies silently recognised in the background and only needs to be refreshed here and there. In the work shown, Tim Rudolph returns to the fact that something is important to him, even if more detail is lost in the desire to make contact at all with the world in which he already has always been. He steps back to a fork in the road he could have taken if he had not allowed himself to be carried away into artificiality by first publicity and internet presence and thereby deepens his current approach to things and art practice.
