Application deadline for the winter semester 2025/26: 30 April, 2025

Expand and reflect on your own practice after studying art/film/design: The Graduate School for Moving Images (GBB) at the Kunsthochschule Kassel offers a unique postgraduate research opportunity, one of a kind in Germany. Starting from a programmatically comprehensive understanding of the moving image as a field between games, animation, video, new media, and film, the GBB brings together filmmakers, artists, and designers to work on their individual research projects over four semesters.

The program is targeted at graduates with a master’s degree, Diplom, or equivalent qualification from an artistic degree program. Successful participation is confirmed by a certificate.
