To promote young academics, the University of Kassel awards doctoral scholarships every semester with the aim of compensating for disadvantages in the completion of the doctorate. Doctoral students at the University of Kassel who are about to complete their doctorate are eligible to apply.
The scholarship is endowed with 1,300 euros per month. A child allowance of 200 euros per month is possible on application.
The scholarship is granted for up to twelve months. The main aim of the final scholarship is to complete the dissertation and submit it within the funding period. The funding period usually starts on April 1st for applications in November and October 1st for applications in May.
