Küsel, Marie
Research Associate | Art Pedagogy
Marie Küsel studied extracurricular art education, art history and sculpture in Leipzig, Bologna and Carrara. She completed her master's degree with a thesis on "Mediating intangible cultural heritage through art education strategies" in 2025 at the University of Leipzig.
Since 2018, she has been working as a freelance art and culture educator for, among others, the Grassi Museum of Applied Arts in Leipzig, Spinnerei Leipzig GmbH, IBUG e.V. – International Festival for Urban Art in Saxony, Art Basel Parcours and the Venice Biennale. Her focus is on the communication of contemporary art and art in public spaces.
Since November 2025, Marie Küsel has been pursuing her doctorate under Prof. Dr. Tanja Wetzel.
