Learning to network - the new Hessen Talents support program
In the GRIP blog (Filmhaus Frankfurt), Andrea Wenzek reports on the newly established "Hessen Talents", the largest project of the Hessian Film and Media Academy (hFMA).
For 16 years now, up to 20 students from filmmaking universities in Hessen have been selected to take part in the Hessen Talents project. Their films can be viewed by a professional audience at a screening as part of the European Film Market (EFM) during the Berlinale. However, an extensive accompanying program has already been developed for the Talents in 2024 in conjunction with the Berlinale. This includes supervised visits to industry events and film screenings in all sections as well as the organization of master classes with festival guests. The accompanying program is intended to help students on their way into the industry.
