The Kunsthochschule closes between the years

Once again this year, the Kunsthochschule and the university and its facilities will be closed from Christmas to New Year. The last day of opening is December 22, 2023, and the Kunsthochschule / Uni will reopen on January 2, 2024. Courses will start on January 8. The security service will be on site during the closure period to monitor the locations, while the IT Service Center will ensure digital security.

Libraries
The University Library will remain closed over the Christmas holidays and the turn of the year. The last day of opening this year is Friday, December 22; the regular opening hours apply to all locations.

The first opening day in the new year is Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The libraries at the Kunsthochschule and Oberzwehren locations will have shorter opening hours in the first week of January: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The library at the Witzenhausen site is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Open Library); the site will be closed on Saturday, January 6.

Studierendenwerk Kassel
Dining halls and cafeterias are still open up to and including Thursday, December 21. All Studierendenwerk facilities and contact points will be closed between Christmas and New Year.

From January 2 to 6, Moritz on the Holländischer Platz campus in Kassel will be open. Coffee, sandwiches and sweets will be available here from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and lunch from 11.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

All other canteens and cafeterias (including those on the Kunsthochschule campus) will start the new year on January 8.
