The latest issue of the Zeitschrift für Medienwissenschaft [Journal of Media Studies] features an article by Johanna Schaffer, Professor of the Theory and Practice of Visual Communication (Kunsthochschule Kassel), entitled Academic Freedom – Ignorant of Structures of Power?. As a member of the Advisory Board of the Gesellschaft für Medienwissenschaft [Society for Media Studies], she is also a co-author of the Advisory Board’s statement, published in March, on the increasing political interference in academic and cultural autonomy.
