Gülberk Elif Bosgelmez, an animation student at the Kassel Art Academy, was awarded the Jury’s Special Prize at the 20th FullDome Festival Jena (15 to 17 July 2026) for her film “senses slight”.

The film was created as part of the “eXtatic dreaming 360°” project, which was realised in collaboration between the animation class in Kassel and the Festival of Animation Berlin. “senses slight” is a short, poetic animation about the shifting weight of existence and uses immersive imagery to explore the perception of the body, space and movement.

The award was presented on 17 July 2026 at the Zeiss Planetarium in Jena. The planetarium, which is considered the world’s oldest large-dome planetarium and features a dome with a diameter of 25 metres, is the main venue for the FullDome Festival, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

The FullDome Festival Jena is one of the most important international events for immersive media art and Fulldome productions. Every year, it brings together artists, filmmakers and scientists from all over the world and showcases the latest developments in the field of 360° projection.
