The simulation game “Egglets” by Yifan Zhou and Fiona Dietz is in the running for an Indie Game Award at the 15th international A MAZE. / Berlin (13–16 May 2026) and was nominated from around 435 games submitted worldwide. For the two developers, graduates of the Kunsthochschule Kassel, this is a major success and a significant recognition of their work in the games industry. They developed the game over a period of about a year. The decision on the award will be made on 15 May in Berlin.
In “Egglets”, players must overcome a ten-day crisis in the fantasy world of Eggon. Players control other characters and attempt to discern the truth amidst news and rumours. A great responsibility rests on their shoulders, as the outcome of the game determines the fate of the Egglets.

The 15th international A MAZE. Awards received 435 entries from 78 countries. They are competing for seven prizes as well as the Audience Award. A total of 33 nominations and 16 honourable mentions from 33 countries are being presented. These include innovative performances, digital poems, experimental and cultural experiences, personal stories, as well as impressive game worlds and works of interactive media art. The jury is currently selecting the winners in each category, who will be announced at the awards ceremony on 15 May 2026 in Berlin.
