On Deutschlandfunk Kultur on 9 July 2026, Professor Marie Pohl discusses how students at the Kassel Art Academy are trained not only artistically but also in storytelling. She emphasises the importance of combining practice and theory, as well as the role of local events such as documenta and the Turning Pages comic festival as key platforms for emerging talent in the comic scene.
Marie Pohl, who publishes under the name Marijpol, works at the intersection of comics, illustration and design. Since the summer term of 2025, she has been responsible, together with Sascha Hommer, for the Comics & Illustration specialisation at the Kassel Art Academy.
