As part of the Kassel Art Academy’s open day, which took place from 9 to 12 July 2026, a project was launched in the ceramics study workshop in aid of the Kassel Women’s Shelter. Following an initiative by Tetyana Zolotopupova, Svea Marzok, Josefine Hohn and Johanna Specht, an open working group developed over the course of the entire semester, in which students collaborated to create ceramic works.

The project was inspired by a desire to send a message of support and solidarity in the face of increasing reports of violence and abusive behaviour towards women. Students were invited to work together in the ceramics workshop at a fixed weekly time. In this collaborative atmosphere, numerous ceramic pieces were created, which were sold for donations during the 2026 exhibition tour. This raised a total of 1,937 euros. The amount will be donated to the Kassel Women’s Shelter. The handover of the donation is scheduled for a later date.

Those involved in the project were: Tetyana Zolotopupova, Svea Marzok, Josefine Hohn, Johanna Specht, Petra Stipetić, Anna Ortlauf, Nikolaj Lölke, Hannah Peinemann, Joscha Tschammer, Astrid Müller and Hyun Ju Do.
