This session covers the fundamentals of copyright law as well as the key clauses in relevant contracts. Particular emphasis is placed on the core elements of a design contract. Techniques for successful negotiation will also be explored. The session will examine what constitutes fair remuneration and how this can be enforced.
Lecturer: Katja Dunkel (LL.M) is a solicitor and founder of DUNKEL RICHTER. She advises artists, solo self-employed individuals and companies on all matters relating to media and copyright law. A key focus of her work is collaboration with agencies, authors and artists, particularly in the field of film and television law. She teaches and runs workshops on design law and start-up issues.
