The Kunsthochschule Kassel is represented at Super BOOKS 7 with its own publications.

For the seventh time, Munich’s Haus der Kunst is hosting Super BOOKS, the independent fair for the artist’s book scene. Over the course of two days, more than 70 national and international artists, designers, publishers, and representatives from institutions and art colleges will gather to present their latest works.

Super BOOKS showcases publications that think beyond the boundaries of the book as a medium and challenge them, with themes, formats and techniques that are constantly evolving. Thanks to an ethos of accessibility, reflected in its pricing and direct sales model, alternative publishing acts as a counterbalance to the conventional publishing market. Through direct interaction with artists and producers, visitors are introduced to diverse forms of artistic practice, which also shape our understanding of the programme. In addition to the book presentations, the public can look forward to workshops for all age groups on both days, as well as a programme of talks, performances and sound events organised by the non-commercial Munich radio station Radio 80000.

Super BOOKS is a collaboration between the Haus der Kunst, the AAP Archive of Artists’ Publications, the Bavarian State Library and the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich.

Curated by Sabine Brantl (Haus der Kunst) with Hubert Kretschmer (AAP Archive of Artists’ Publications) and Dr Antje Goetzke (Bavarian State Library).
