How can one successfully shape an artistic career over many years when markets, technologies and distribution channels are constantly changing? Robot Koch has been working as a freelance musician, composer and producer for more than 25 years and has continuously developed his artistic practice throughout this time. He discusses how artists can make productive use of change – and how much one can adapt without losing sight of one’s own artistic vision.
Robot Koch, born Robert Koch in Kassel in 1977, is a musician, composer and producer. His fusion of electronic, classical and ambient music also shapes his work for film and television. Among other projects, he has composed music for the series *Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo* and the films *Filip* and *Chopin, Chopin!*. Koch has been living and working in Los Angeles since 2013.
