Hesse Studio Programme
The Hessian Studio Programme (HAP) for artists in Hesse was launched at the start of 2021. With this funding programme, the state government is taking a needs-based approach to address one of the first and most significant challenges young artists face after completing their training: finding a space for their artistic work. Hesse boasts excellent higher education institutions and trains many artists; nevertheless, their opportunities to access further support schemes after completing their studies remain limited.
With the Studio Support Programme, the State of Hesse is expanding this provision: as a targeted postgraduate support scheme, it offers artists who have completed their training the opportunity to find a path into freelance work, to continue their education, to network and to develop professionally. Graduates living in Hesse are eligible to apply, regardless of their artistic discipline.
