The University of Kassel awards several research proposal grants to support prospective PhD students at the University of Kassel.

Target group
All individuals who have received a confirmation of supervision from a professor at the University of Kassel are eligible to apply. Applicants may only apply once. Funding is available exclusively for first doctoral degrees.
Scholarship amount
The scholarship is worth 1,300 euros per month. A child allowance of 200 euros per month is available upon application.
Duration
The scholarship is awarded for up to nine months. The main aim of the Exposé Scholarship is to enable the recipient to draft an exposé during the funding period, which is required for the application for admission as a doctoral candidate at the Doctoral Office of the University of Kassel. It may also be used to apply for a doctoral scholarship from a student support organisation. The funding period is generally from 1 April 2027 to 31 December 2027.
The Exposé Scholarship ends upon expiry of the funding period, upon commencement of another form of funding, or upon taking up employment, provided this occurs within the funding period.
