In 2025, the city of Kassel will once again award five open‐disciplinary work scholarships for young artists from Kassel. The scholarships are intended to promote the artistic development of cultural workers and facilitate the transition into professional life.
Up‐and‐coming artists can apply for a scholarship from the city of Kassel until February 28, 2025. The city of Kassel is thus offering a funding instrument that is intended to make it easier for young cultural workers in particular to enter the profession. A scholarship lasts six months and offers 1,300 euros per month as well as mentoring from a local expert in the cultural sector.
Artists from all disciplines who live in Kassel and are no older than 35 years old (in the case of periods of illness, care or child‐rearing, these can be taken into account) and who graduated from a professionally qualified institution no more than three years ago are eligible to apply. Applications can be made without a discipline‐specific degree if they can prove that they have been working professionally as an artist in the last three years.
