Review: Hessen Talents at the 74th Berlinale
HESSEN TALENTS presented fifteen films to a professional audience at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival. At the reception in the Hessian State Representation in Berlin, HESSEN TALENTS met the new Hessian Minister for Science and Research, Art and Culture Timon Gremmels, the Managing Director of Hessen Film & Medien Anna Schoeppe and the acting members of the hFMA Executive Board and Board of Directors. The screenings at the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin and online were attended by industry representatives from all over the world: from Denmark, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Romania, South Korea, the UK and the USA.

From February 16 to 24, the young talents met daily with professors from the filmmaking universities in Hesse in Darmstadt, Kassel, Offenbach and Wiesbaden. They attended mini-master classes, film screenings and events in all sections of the Berlinale and reflected on what they had seen and the different facets of the film industry in discussion groups. They also took part in a guided tour of the EFM and Encourage Film Talents.
