"Planet Puberty" by Lara Rohde wins the XR Science Award
Lara Rohde (animation class, Kunsthochschule Kassel) was presented with the DIVR Science Award 2024 in the "Psychology and Health" category for her final project "Planet Pubertät". The award ceremony took place on 27.09.24 at Dortmunder U.
"Planet Pubertät" by Lara Rohde is an interactive VR serious game (length: 25 min.) aimed at children and young people of all genders aged 9-14. It is the first part of the "Planet Puberty" series, which deals with the topic of menstruation. The student's final project was financially supported by Hessen Film & Medien GmbH, the student project council, the Dr. Wolfgang Zippel Foundation, the student council of the art academy and HAB - Hessen Abschlussförderung.
DIVR XR Science Award 2024
The DIVR XR Science Award 2024 was presented for the seventh time. The award recognizes outstanding research work in the field of augmented, virtual and mixed reality in Europe. It is the most important prize in the field of VR / AR / XR for research projects. The award is presented and organized by DIVR e.V., based in Dortmund.
