In cooperation with the Filmladen Kassel e.V., the Film and Moving Image Class (Kunsthochschule Kassel) presents: "Alle die Du bist" by Michael Fetter Nathansky (Germany / Spain 2024, 108 minutes).
At the age of 24, single mother Nadine leaves her home in Brandenburg to take a job as a factory worker in the coal industry near Cologne. There she meets the impulsive Paul, whose personality seems so multifaceted to her that she literally perceives him in many different guises. After a long time, she finally feels herself again. The two become a couple and a deep love develops between them. Seven years later, her life is different. Nadine's job is threatened by structural change and her view of Paul has also changed. She now only sees him in his "own" outer form, which is becoming increasingly alien to her. Although Paul is a devoted family man, Nadine's love begins to disintegrate. She decides to fight it and rediscover the different layers of his being that she was once able to see. Set against the backdrop of one of Europe's largest lignite mining areas, Alle die Du bist is both a socially realistic and magical love story. Aenne Schwarz and Carlo Ljubek hauntingly embody the couple at the center of this passionate, playful plea for the loving gaze.
Afterwards:
Michael Fetter Nathansky (director) and Virginia Martin (producer) in conversation with Jan Peters.
