N_e_orxnawang

Exhibition by the new generation MDS students.

N_e_orxnawang refers in Old English sources to a place beyond clear localization: a field, aspace of transition, of in-between states. The meaning of the term remains ambiguous to this day, oscillating between paradise, the afterlife, and an imaginary space of collective projection. The group exhibition N_e_orxnawang brings together three artistic positions that engage withplaces and spaces in different ways. Their works explore physical, mental, and symbolic spaces, trace presences and absences, and question how spaces are produced, remembered, andconstructed. Space is not understood as a fixed entity, but as a processual field shaped by meaning, inscription, and displacement.

Painting, video works, and photographic collages form the exhibition’s media approaches. Intheir interplay, they open up different spatial registers—from the pictorial surface to the movingimage and fragmented montage—condensing N_e_orxnawang into a shared experiential space.
