Until February 28, 2026, emerging artists can apply for a scholarship from the city of Kassel. This scholarship provides a funding instrument specifically designed to facilitate the entry of young cultural professionals into the arts. The scholarship lasts six months and offers €1,300 per month, as well as a local expert from the jury who serves as a contact person for questions and networking throughout the scholarship period.
Artists from all disciplines residing in Kassel are eligible to apply, provided they are no older than 35 and their degree from a qualified institution was awarded no more than three years ago (periods of illness, caregiving, or childcare can be added to this timeframe). Applications are also accepted from artists without a discipline‐specific degree, provided they can demonstrate professional artistic activity within the last three years.
