Awards, prizes, scholarships 2022

The cdw Foundation's sponsorship award (EXAMEN 2022) was presented to Sebastian Gneiting (prize money: 4,000 euros) and Rike Suhr (prize money: 4,000 euros).

German Short Film Award 2022: The award for the best feature film of more than 10 minutes to 30 minutes running time went to Mo Harawe for the film "Will My Parents Come To See Me".

"Will My Parents Come to See Me" by Mo Harawe wins the Golden Hercules at the 39th Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival.

"When God's Blood Dripped onto the Childrens' Shoulders" by Aria Azizi also received an honorable mention at the awards ceremony.

The Graduate School of Moving Image: Analog Realities, Digital Materialities (GBB) at the Kunsthochschule Kassel will receive the Honorary Award (3,000 euros) as part of the 39th Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival.

Rundgang prices (Kunsthochschule Kassel): Klasse Games (SV SparkassenVersicherung, 1,500 euros), Julie Matthées (SV SparkassenVersicherung, 1,000 euros), Annagenia Jacob (Birgitt Bolsmann Prize, 1,100 euros), Manuel Betz (Prize of the staff of the Kunsthochschule Kassel, 800 euros). The jury awarded an honorable mention for the group work (Project Professorship Product Design) "RhönReisen ohne Footprint".

The Kassel Art Prize of the Dr. Wolfgang Zippel Foundation was awarded to the artist Hilke Heithecker in the field of visual arts.

Max and Moritz Awards: "Work-Life Balance" by Aisha Franz was named "Best German-Language Comic." Daniela Heller's "Pfostenloch" was awarded the prize for "Best German-language Comic Debut".

The prize of 1,000 euros for the regional short film competition at the LICHTER Filmfest is awarded to Joey Arand with her film "21:71 Uhr".

Students and graduates of the Kunsthochschule Kassel awarded the 13th UNIKAT Ideas Competition of the University of Kassel: 1st prize (2,500 euros): Xinyi He (idea "CareCal"), 2nd prize (2,000 euros): Jan Wagemann (idea "Wuchshülle"), 3rd prize (1,500 euros): Anja Kellner (idea "LiSe"), Special Prize Social Entrepreneurship (2,000 euros): Johannes Kastner (idea "Profile System").

Lou Boettner, Josefine Döring, Sebastian Foerster, Kathrin Maurer, Petra Stipetić, Lisa-Maria Schmidt are scholarship holders of the Otto-Braun Fund. The scholarship for final artistic projects amounts to 520 euros each for a maximum period of six months.
