Anna Berger studied film with Helmut Herbst & Rotraut Pape at the HfG Offenbach, as well as experimental interior design with Heiner Blum. She lives and works as a visual and performing artist in Frankfurt am Main. She works as a director, production director, editor, stage designer, set designer, theater maker, and teacher at the Academy of Fine Art, Nuremberg. Her diploma film “o.T.” has won several prizes, including in Oberhausen in 2006, has toured worldwide, and has been broadcast by 3sat and Hessischer Rundfunk. Since 2011 she has been working, alone and with a variety of groups, on interventions in public space, and since 2016 she has been working with the group redpark Performance Theater as a set designer, dramaturge, and performer, including at the Mousonturn/Frankfurt. Since December 2017 she has been working in painting, and since 2018 is the artistic-research associated of Prof. Jan Peters in the Class for Film and Moving Image at the Kunsthochschule Kassel.
