Data Visualisation meets traditional 2d.
Juan is an independent animator working at the intersection of traditional hand-drawn animation and cutting-edge web technologies. He divides his time between making personal animated films, creative programming, academic research, education and curatorial endeavours. He will visit us in Kassel to talk about his latest film Decaer, which he has just freshly finished, and his general approach to his creative work. Juan holds a phd in animation and works as assistant professor at Centro de Estudios en Periodismo, Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia.
