For Warkop of the Weary Heart Louisiana Watimena presents a traditional Indonesian coffee shop called Warkop at Tokonoma Kassel. The installtion is creating an interactive space that invites visitors to experience the warmth and closeness of human connections. Reflecting on a visit to Germany, where the artist felt a loss of close human connections, this warkop emerges as an oasis amid the hustle and bustle of modern life. Here, people gather, share stories, and enjoy a cup of coffee while tasting simple yet delicious food. Visitors are encouraged to engage in the coffee-making process, learning about the quick and flavorful preparation methods, as well as sampling various familiar snacks in different wokshops and events during the month of November. Every element of the installation is designed to promote interaction, creating an intimate atmosphere that seems to transport them back to cultural roots, where conversation and laughter fill every corner. This precious moment becomes a bond of taste and stories, where each sip of coffee invites visitors to engage in a warm and familiar shared experience.
