Arturo Hernández Alcázar (b. 1978, Mexico City) lives and works in Mexico City. His sculptures, installations, sound works, drawings, books and actions address the tense relationship between power, form and resistance. Working with construction sites, abandoned places, debris and found materials, he treats his works as the remains of actions developed in relation, and often in opposition, to the places he engages with. He has exhibited at MUAC-UNAM, Museo Amparo, the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, the 5th Moscow Biennale and Museo Experimental El Eco, and works as an independent editor for Antena Ediciones and GatoNegro.
