d14 Sessions #11, July 8 Marina Fokidis, Head of Artistic Office Athens documenta 14

“Methexis” is an ancient Greek theater term (μετεχω) which refers to a special kind of group sharing in which the audience participates, creates, and improvises the ritual on stage. In the platonic sense, it is a kind of soul-to-soul exchange between a particle and a form. During this session, Marina Fokidis – founder of Kunsthalle Athena and South is a State of Mind magazine – will reflect on the precarities and solidarities of working together within the ecology of a post-crisis art field, and the Greek context as paradigm. d14 Sessions is a series taking place each Friday during the summer semester 2016 with Kunsthochschule Kassel and documenta 14.
