Award for Ausstellungshalle at national HolzbauPlus competition

The  Ausstellungshalle of the Kunsthochschule Kassel receives 1st prize in the HolzbauPlus 2022/23 competition in the main category of new buildings in wood. This was announced by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

The winners in the national HolzbauPlus 2022/23 competition have been announced. Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir awarded prize money and recognition to ten competition entries in five categories at the German Timber Construction Congress. The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) again provided 50,000 euros for the prizes. With the federal competition, the BMEL honored for the sixth time building achievements with wood and other renewable building materials as a contribution to climate-friendly and sustainable building culture.

The  Ausstellungshalle was inaugurated in early 2022. The building is located in the courtyard of the north building of the art academy. It was designed by the Austrian firm Innauer Matt Architekten.
