Drawing in context is a course directed at students from all study programmes at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. It involves a solid training of sight, which is not viewed as an end in itself, but as a possible prerequisite on the way towards making an artistic statement. In addition to the ability to record what has been seen in drawing, graphic thinking and drawing from your imagination are also an important element in the course.
The question of perception, your own view and the graphical work processes arising from this are designed to enable the development of an individual visual language and the ability to find the right imagery.
Practical work and theoretical points of view about drawing are intertwined during the courses that are available and are supplemented by critical reflection on different positions in the field of drawing.
