Research Associate | Art History and Aesthetics

Jakob Luckschewitz studied art history and literature at the Christian-Albrecht University in Kiel. In 2016 he completed his master’s degree with a thesis on the reception of Max Klinger in artistic and scholarly circles in Dresden around 1900. In 2020 he will have completed his doctoral project on reproduction prints in the German-speaking world during the second half of the nineteenth century. He received support from the Letter Foundation in Cologne with the August Hoff Grant for Art Historical Research. He has been regularly involved in arts education since 2017. His research focuses on the art of the nineteenth century as well as on the history of art history.
