Coordinator TRACES and documenta studies Kassel

Carina Herring is an art mediator and project manager. From 2017 to 2019 she was coordinator for the development of the documenta Institute in Kassel, since 2020 she is coordinator for TRACES –Transdisciplinary Research Center for exhibition studies. From 2004 to 2010 she was project leader for the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Kunstvereine (Berlin). From 2012 to 2013 she was an academic associate at the University of Cologne’s Institute for Art and Art Theory. From 2013 to 2015 she contributed to the conception and editing of the online archive and four-volume publication accompanying the pilot project Kulturagenten für kreative Schulen (Cultural Agents for Creative Schools). Since 2017 she has been involved in the research project The Art Educator’s Walk, based at the HKB Bern, which draws upon the example of documenta 14’s “Chorus” to develop strategies for contemporary art education.
